Moscow metro is considered to be the most beautiful underground railway systems in the world. The stations, built in the Stalin era, are remarkable for their bold ornamentation and unique architecture and were created to look like temples and palaces. Most of these stations are decorated with sculptures, glass, coloured marble and bronze chandeliers.

Arbat street is the most famous pedestrian area in Moscow which deservs the title of Moscow Monmartre. A lot of diffrent cafes, antique shops and stands with traditional Russian gifts and souvenirs are situated here. Numerous artisans and painters display their works just in the street.

The Pushkin museum contains a fine collection of ancient Egypt; Greece and Rome art are well represented. The Art Gallery of the Pushkin Museum in Moscow is rich from works of most Europe’s greatest painters- Botticelli, Rembrandt, Rubens, Van Dyck and Constable, a vast-selection of French paintings, including works of French impressionists.

The Moscow State Tretyakov Gallery is the national treasury of Russian fine art and one of the greatest museums in the world. The Tretyakov Gallery’s collection consists entirely of Russian art and artists who have made а contribution to the history of Russian art or been closely connected with it. Russian art works, ranging in date from the 11th to the early 20th century, are on the show in Gallery’s historic building on Lavrushinskiy Pereulok.
